New Couple On A Mission

Well this time around was like a whirl wind. I kept in contact with the last case manager(I will see if I can use her name in blogs to follow) I had with the twins. When she e-mailed me to wish me happy holidays I gave her the update and she informed me that she would love to work with me again. So I thought about this and decided, hey what the heck this could only improve my chances to find the right couple. So I called her on Dec. 23rd and let her know to go ahead and put my profile back up on their site Fertility-Miracles. She called me back and said that she knew who I should be matched with, so she needed to talk to them and see where they we at. So then I waited for like a day and got an e-mail saying that they would love to have a conference call and when would I be available. I told them that I could do it that day or anytime that week. That was on the 24th and they said they could do it on the 26th, I was o.k. with this so I replied not a problem.

The day of the conference call I was over visiting my sisters at one of their houses. This was rare to have all five of us there at once. So I was visiting and then two had to head home and my phone rings. Now I am trying to find a quite place so that I can hear everyone. I first go outside and this seems to be the spot until my sisters father in law pulls up in his deisel truck. I then escape to a back room… this was the spot, now if everyone would leave the door shut. So I spoke with the case manager, IM = Intended Mother and the IF = Intended Father. We told a little about ourselves and I explained why I like being a surrogate. We talked about where their doctor is and if that is going to be a problem for me, and about how many embryos they would like to transfer. I explained to them due to the last couple I was working with I am a lot more open to things. So then the call ends and the case manager calls me back and asks how I feel? Do I think I would be able to work with them? I tell her that I like them and would not mind moving forward with them. I know that they are good people but nobody is going to be able to replace my last couple. I did however have a year and a half to get to know them… there’s always that too.

So then on Dec. 31st I get an e-mail from the case manager and she is telling me congradulations I am matched and can I please call this person at the Dr. office to let them know where I am in my cycle (that is another post altogether). So I call the person on Jan. 2nd and let her know and she asks me if I would be able to come in next week so that we can get things set-up for a late Jan. early Feb. transfer. WHAT??? there are not even contracts in place yet??? So I go in on Jan. 9th for my first doctor appointment.

And that is all I know so far.
