Medications
September 23rd, 2008 at 12:48 am (Surrogate)
I went to the doctor and had another ultrasound, blood work and other tests, the verdict is in, I am all cleared to move forward with the transfer. For all my (two) followers out there let me just tell you about my medication schedule. Well I started out taking 20 units of Lupron (injection in the stomach) 1 baby asprin and 1 prenatal vitamin every night. Then I went down to 10 units of Lupron and started taking 1 Estrace and countinued taking the baby asprin and prenatal vitamin. I then incresed the Estrace to 1 in the morning and 1 at night. About a week later I increased the estrace again to, two at night. The night of the 24th I will stop taking the Lupron and start taking 1cc of progestrone every morning and night. Then on the 25th I will also start taking 1 Doxycline in the morning and night as well as 1 Medrol in the morning for four days along with the rest of the stuff. The morning of the embryo transfer I will start taking Anaprox every morning and night in addition to everything else. Whew, that is a lot of medication and you would think that I would be use to this since this is my fourth cycle since becoming a surrogate, but I am not. It still shocks me every time I receive the medication in the mail. The transfer should be on the 29th or 30th of this month. I will update more in the weeks to come.

I am really excited about this new journey you are going through. I just want to say wow…one day I hope to be a surrogate mother if it is possible. I actually found this site because I am a senior in high school and we are required to do this year long project called the senior project. With this project we are required to choose a topic in something that has grabbed our attention. My chosen topic was Surrogacy. I wanted to know if there is any way possible you might be able to help me in any way. please just contact me back so I can explain more. My email is ….. and my name is marissia. My phone number is also connected to my email. I would greatly appreciate to hear back from you… Thank you very much.
