The Ultrasound

Sunday was the big day. We all got up early to go down to the doctors office. We met the IP’s at the office and waited for the nurse to call us back there. It was kind of funny because we were all in the room… there was the intended parents, my husband, my son, the ultrasound tech and the doctor. Wow…lots of people to look at a little sac and a tiny heart flutter. The doctor says I am six weeks but according to my calendar I am only four weeks now this is counting from the egg retrieval date. So I don’t know how they got the extra two weeks. So any ways it looks like I am having just one baby. Out of seven embryos only one took that is just mind blowing. I was thinking and maybe it has something to do with the way the transfer them. They stick them in all at once in one location and they all have to fight to implant in that location. To me it would make more sense to spread them out if only a few millimeters they would have a better chance. I don’t know it is just my theory. Anyway needless to say the parents were very excited. That was the best part besides knowing there is a baby in the sac was seeing the mothers face and how happy she was at the sight and news that there was a heartbeat or flutter that is going to be a healthy child soon. I go back on March 9th. I will try and keep up my blog in a better fashion. A BIG Sorry goes out to my two fans.
