I was e-mailed on Friday by the IM and she said that the doctor told her they retrieved 15 eggs. Now this is very good news and we are all excited. Like the song say… Mine are no different. The back of my hips are killing me. I started taking the progestrone shots twice a day on Sat. So once in the morning and once in the evening alternating hips every injection. I have so bruises and my hips are very sore and tender. It was funny the first injection that my husband had to give me I could feel his hand shaking… he acts like he has never done this before. I was a surrogate before… and the first time around I had more injections. He says he hates giving them to me but on some level I think he likes it. They (being the doctors office says that I have to take them for the first trimester… I really hope not. I hope it is like the first time where they release me to my own doctor after they find out that I am pregnate. Then hopefully my doctor will tell them (being the other doctor) that I am doing really really good and they take me off the injections. That would be great… but I am not getting my hopes of any of that happening.

Next week is the big week… yeah so excited. It looks like the big day will be on Wed. the 24th. It seems like this time around it is taking a lot longer than last time. Maybe that is because this time around I know what to expect and so it just seems like it should go faster. But I am soooo very excited about this process… because this is the beginning of the waiting game. Before the transfer the masive durg taking starts…. then after the transfer we wait for the blood test … maybe five days after. Then in another two weeks I go for the BIG ultrasound …. where we see if there are heartbeats. This is the fun part especially when the intended parents are so involved … Love this…

I went to the doctors on Saturday for more blood work and another ultrasound. Yep… I am thick…. this is a good thing or so they tell me. The doctor measured my linning of my uterus and it was 11. something. I like to think of it as being extra fluffy and not so much as thick. Read the rest of this entry »

Well I have been taking the lupron for a while and it has not gone so well. I keep doing something wrong… the second injection was the worse I told I hit a vein so it buised … and it is just now going away. I hate having to stick myself. Today is my baby’s (well he is not a baby anymore) birthday…. He is now 9 years old. I can not believe that it has really been that long ago since I had him. I am sad because I know that soon he will be leaving me to find his own way in life. I feels like just yesterday I was taking him to his first day of Kindergarten.
